Our Humble Plea For Your Assistance

Dear Beloved Family of God,

It gives us great joy to write to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  On behalf of the Burley church of Christ we send you our love and pray that you will be encouraged by the manner in which the Lord is working through us in Burley, Idaho.  The Burley church of Christ is a new congregation located in a predominately Mormon community.  By the grace of our Lord God Almighty we held our first worship service on January 28, 2007.  We are excited about the possibilities in this Mormon community.  With God's help we have brought four souls to Christ this year and three of them were Mormons.  The Lord used me to win 21 lost souls to Christ last year in Idaho and 4 of them were Mormons.

The population of Burley, Idaho is approximately 12,000 souls, and the nearby communities of Paul, Heyburn, Oakley, and Rupert comprise a population of about 10,000 souls.  These communities are within 5 to 20 miles from Burley.  The Lord has placed an open door of opportunity for us to win many lost souls to Christ in this part of the United States, and the fields are ready for the harvest.  With the opportunities for growth set before us in this Mormon stronghold, we have located a building in which to worship the Lord.  It is centrally located within the city of Burley.

It is our humble plea that you would help us with a donation of your choice to purchase this building.  Any amount would be greatly appreciated and it would help us secure a place for worship and a center of evangelism for those who are seeking the Lord.  It is our goal to raise $85,000 for the purchase of this building.  As of January 7, 2008 by the grace of our Lord we have raised a total of $5,800 and we now need $79,200.
